Back to Training

It’s been 8 months since my colostomy surgery and everything feels pretty healed now, so it’s about time that I start getting fit and start training again. I make this resolution every new year, but this year I want it to be different. It’s been three months since I started eating a vegan diet, and so far I’ve seen really great results naturally… but I need to step it up a gear. This image below shows a big difference between me from 16 months ago vs me now, and most of that has happened over the last 3 months really:

Slow & steady weight loss over the last 16 months, with the last 3 months making the most difference!

Losing Fat, Gaining Muscle

I know I had to choose to do something that I enjoyed, otherwise I’d never stick to it. I had been quite successful in the past with Beachbody programmes; for me, the most successful of those that I had tried was TurboFire, but I don’t really have the time these days to work out for up to 60 minutes. That’s when I remembered Focus T25. I had already tried it (and loved it) but I never really stuck to it the first time, and then when we moved house and I lost my copy.

So I bought myself a new one. YAY.

Week One of Training

The first week would always be tough, and it was a harsh reminder of exactly how unfit I am. I want this year to be the year of seeing things through, so by the end of the year I want to be able to look back on this first week with a smile.

Wanna see how my first week went? Just watch the video below (20 minutes running time):
