Project Flex

As you may have seen on my last blog post, I have decided that the ‘eat clean’ lifestyle just isn’t for me. I don’t really care whether food has been processed. That’s not to say I’m just going to stop eating fresh fruit and vegetables, that’d just be stupid. What I mean is that I just want to have a balance without feeling guilty if I do eat fries or have pizza or someone bakes a cake. Life is too short to feel guilty and, while I want to live as long as possible, I also want to live as happy as possible.

And that’s why I’ve decided to start a new project. A project which will help me transform my body in a positive way. A project created by me, so that I don’t feel pressured or feel like I’m breaking anyone else’s rules. A project where I am happy and full of energy and it’s not a daily struggle. And I shall call it Project Flex.

Project Flex has a focus on strength, flexibility, and overall fitness. It requires good nutrition, but it still allows for a balance; treats are allowed, there’s no guilt or self-punishment here.

I’m planning on using TurboFire as my main fitness tool. It will be my second round doing TurboFire, so I’m hoping I can up the intensity and really give it 100%. I will also have some optional extras in the form of long walks, running/jogging and maybe going a bit retro with some Zumba DVDs, just to mix it up a bit. What can I say – I love dancing.

For nutrition, I will aim for the sensible options; lean proteins, vegetables, fruits, lots of water. However, once a week, I will have the option to indulge in whatever I want with no limits. That’s not to say that I HAVE to indulge, but it gives me the option IF I WANT TO, and without the guilt.

I will be documenting my progress through Project Flex on my YouTube channel where I’ll upload weekly vlogs, so if you want to see how I’m doing, go and subscribe!

  1. I eat clean but I also eat what I want in moderation. I am not strict on eating clean but I know I do feel better when I do! Its not an easy to do it every day so I dont do it everyday lol. I also live in NYC so we eat out atleast 2 times per week so that is why i work out 6-7 days a week!
