Most of my regular readers will know that I have ostomy bags. But, of course, someone unfamiliar with my blog or YouTube channel may stumble across this post unknowingly and be like, “she has what?!”
In 25 days, I’m getting married. And, quite frankly, if it wasn’t for the ostomy surgery, I wouldn’t be getting married. I wouldn’t even be alive. Having ostomy surgery has given me my life back, and it’s enabled me to do anything I want to.
I recently did an interview with writer Brett Kobie for ThisIsMedTech, and the article will be going up tomorrow (but here is a sneak peek). The main focus of it is the fact that, while I do talk about my ostomy and IBD, its not the only thing going on in my life. I have a job, I enjoy watching movies & TV, I’m researching my family tree, I love photography, I LOVE drinking tea, I like make-up, I pretend that I can draw… I’m not just an ostomy bag.
I hope you enjoy the article as much as I do when it goes out tomorrow and, not just that, but I hope you have a look around the ThisIsMedTech website, because I think it’s going to be a great place to showcase the latest tech to help keep us all healthy and happy, and I’m all about that.
